Medifast - Is it really working ?

I've been using Medifast for a 2 months now, it is really working.

Unfortunately, obesity is a real issue with my job. I used MediFast about 4 years ago and lost 52 pounds in 3 months time.

I must say, I was hungry all day long...

Is it really worth it ??

Medifast diet - balanced meal

With Medifast diet you will probably gain a little bit of weight because that's not a balanced meal. Its better to have a balanced meal and learn to eat properly.

I use to do all those diets and it worked at the beginning but once i came off I gained a little weight. But with proper eating and diet you should lose weight and keep it off.

I want to get on medifast but I dont know how...

Brown fat - New kid n the block !!!

Currently, the only safe way to activate brown fat is to stay cold , however, the only safe way to activate brown fat is to remain cold enough to be on the verge of shivering… for a long period of time.

This recreates the scenario that led to the evolution of brown fat: life-threatening cold in creatures that couldn’t put on clothes to stay warm.

It’s important to maintain a proper balance of brown fat in the body.

If you’re carrying too much or too little weight, not only are the calorie-burning benefits mostly negated, but you become more vulnerable to diseases such as Type 2 diabetes.

Generally, a lean form is most ideal to maintain the body’s energy balance, yet according to Brown, it is unclear whether brown fat is the cause of leanness or its result.

Red dots on my skin...

Over the past year, I have been getting red dots on my skin.
They are not raised and not itchy --> but they are bright red and increasing in number.

They are mainly on my upper arms and chest, but I do have some on my thighs, lower arms, and neck.

I went to a dermatologist who said that they were nothing to worry about and no one knew the cause. I am nervous about this diagnosis because these red dots just keep coming!

Someone suggested that it could be a problem with my blood. I found a couple of articles on it -- but I am hoping that people here can share their personal experiences and advice with me.

I'm going to my doctor soon to get a referral to a hematologist... but in the meantime, I can't help but wonder what could be wrong with me and how they will diagnose it!

Thanks for sharing any experience or advice.

What Is Pilates?

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk.

In addition, pilates increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body and strengthen the body's "core" or "powerhouse" (torso).

People who do pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone to injury, and experience better overall health.

There are two ways to exercise in pilates.

Today, most people focus on the mat exercises, which require only a floor mat and training. These exercises are designed so that your body uses its own weight as resistance.

The other method of pilates uses a variety of machines to tone and strengthen the body, again using the principle of resistance.
