Healing Foods

A team of doctors found that in a test tube chicken soup suppressed inflammation, which causes many cold symptoms. But chicken soup isn’t the only food that might help heal you from the inside out.Orange juice or half a grapefruit. Both are great sources of vitamin C, which could shorten the duration of colds.
Whole-grain cereal or bread. Whole grains are rich in vitamins and minerals, including zinc and vitamin E, which can help keep your immune system healthy. Black tea. Real tea leaves (not herbal) have substances that speed the action of cilia, the tiny hairlike cells lining your nasal passages, helping them expel germs. Anise-seed cookie. Anise seeds, with their licorice-like flavor, have been found to help break up congestion.
Salad of bitter greens. Watercress and arugula can make a salad special—and research shows they may also have antiviral effects. Bitter greens are especially helpful in relieving chest congestion, sniffles, and coughs.
Pasta with tomato sauce and plenty of garlic. Because the pungent bulb is one of the most potent disease-fighting foods around, it’s worth having at least two servings a day. Raw garlic has the most benefits, but cooked garlic also packs a punch.
Ginger tea. It’s different and refreshing—and, Duke says, “ginger is loaded with virus-fighting substances, including several that act directly against cold viruses.” (One substance, gingerol, can suppress coughing.) Boil water; then steep a tablespoon of fresh shredded ginger for 2 or 3 minutes.

Over Sweat Or Sweating ?

It is a known fact that overweight and obese people are more prone to excessive sweating as they perspire more.

However, excessive perspiration can be also due to several underlying medical conditions such as menopause, psychiatric illnesses and very active thyroid glands.

Excessive sweating is also known to occur to people with no known medical condition and thus the cause of heavy sweating for this group of people is unknown.

It is very distressing to suffer from over sweating and many people with this condition also suffer from low self esteem. This is because excessive sweating may cause them to have undesirable body odor, looking unkempt and dirty.

It is easier for those who are overweight to reduce excessive perspiration since it is just a matter of reducing their body fat weight. Losing weight is easy with the right combination of exercises and healthy eating habits. Many people who find it hard to lose weight and disagree with me that losing weight is easy is because they are doing it wrongly.
If excessive sweating is localized on parts of the body such as armpits, palms or the soles of feet, then treatments may be necessary to reduce over perspiration. Sometimes anti-perspirants applied to the affected body part may just stop excessive sweating albeit temporarily.

Simple and non surgical medical treatments that are known to reduce or even sometimes stop excessive sweating successfully are Iontophoresis where a low electrical current is introduced to the affected parts of the body or getting Botulinum toxin injections commonly known as Botox injections.

If you are suffering from excessive sweating and over perspiration, and since this condition is most prevalent among people who are overweight, go get a medical check up to see if you are obese. If you are, then embark on a healthy diet and exercise program and your excessive sweating condition may be solved permanently.

Bad skin food

As long as fruit is eaten without fat (no nuts, no nut butters, no oils, no butter) the sugar in the fruit doesn't linger in the bloodstream ,  it is immediately used by cells for energy.

Fat eaten with sugar hinders the ability of a cell to absorb the sugar.

Eating fruit is one of the best things you can do for your skin as it is hydrating and packed with nutrients.

It's probably not a good idea to get a science lesson from a skin care 'expert'.

Asian nutrition & Whole food

As an organic integration of Chinese healing practice and western nutrition, this new perspective provides one of the most systematic and comprehensive discussions of the relationship between food and health.

Basically, there are three aspects I find most helpful about this method .
First, the large scope it covers: from raw food to cooked food, from herbs to animal product, from water to minerals, from food combination to the art of explores these topics in an unhurried, sensible, and lucid manner. The analysis on each of the major foods near the end of it is useful for the reader to select meal ingredients that can best help improve his/her health.
Second, I like the "middle path" approach the author takes, without going to extremes with either his theory or practice. For instance, you can practise vegetarianism, but he also acknowleges the effectiveness of meat in treating certain deficiencies.
Third, I like its flexibility in tuning into each reader's different individual need and condition. For instance, raw vegetables and fruits may help the person who has "heat" signs, but may be too cooling for the person who feels cold constantly, especially in the colder season. So each person can use this method to fit his/her individual needs.

My interest in food, health, and nutrition, led me to read widely in these fields. Mostly Chinese food healing art, and discusses it from the perspective of western nutrition.

Treatment for Bladder Cancer

Statistically, cancer of the urinary bladder appears to be most common in people between the ages of 50 and 70 years.

This is a type of cancer that affects men more often than women. Studies show that it is more commonly experienced by Caucasians than African Americans.

Bladder cancer ranks fifth among the top ten cancers that affect males.

It is considered one of the most common malignant cancers and the tenth leading cause of cancer death. It manifests as a tumor of the bladder.

The most common symptom of bladder cancer is visible, painless hematuria or blood in the urine.

Treatment of bladder cancer depends on the grade of the tumor (the degree of cellular differentiation), the stage of tumor growth (the degree of local invasion and the presence or absence of metastasis), and the multicentricity (having many centers) of the tumor.

Pulsatilla for Acne Problem

Although most common during adolescence, acne can occur at other times in life, especially during times of hormonal shifts.

Blackheads or pimples may be a problem on the face, neck, chest, and back when pores become infected or clogged with oil.

The bacteria involved are always present on normal skin.

Therefore, improving the skin’s resistance to infection is important. Most cases of acne can be resolved through hygiene and nutrition.

Remedies may be helpful during flare-ups, but a constitutional remedy, prescribed by an experienced homoeopath, is the most appropriate way to deal with severe or persistent skin problems.

Pulsatilla -

This remedy can be helpful if acne is worse from eating rich or fatty foods, and aggravated by warmth or heat.

It is indicated especially around the time of puberty, or when acne breaks out near menstrual periods.

The person often has a fair complexion and is inclined toward soft emotions and moodiness, feeling worse in warm or stuffy rooms and better in fresh air.

Tennis elbow exercise

Tennis elbow is often caused by overuse or repetitive strain caused by repeated extension (bending back) of the wrist against resistance.

This may be from activities such as tennis, badminton or squash but is also common after periods of excessive wrist use in day-to-day life.

Tennis elbow affects 1% to 3% of the population overall and as many as 50% of tennis players during their careers. Less than 5% of all tennis elbow diagnoses are related to actually playing tennis.

Tennis elbow affects men more than women. It most often affects people between the ages of 30 and 50, although people of any age can be affected.

Dragon Herbs

The tonic herbs are the elite herbs of the Chinese herbal system, the most fully developed herbal system in the world.

The Chinese tonic herbs have always held a very special place in Asian culture.

These very special natural substances have been associated with the highest qualities of living, and thus are associated with the ideals of long life, slow aging, glowing health, happiness, wisdom, physical vitality, adaptability, sexual vigor and response, mental acuity and clear intuition, love and compassion, and harmonious relations with nature and with one's fellow human beings.

The tonic herbs are not harsh and are not specifically medicinal in the conventional sense.

Tonic herbs help to regulate our myriad functions so that we can re-establish and maintain our balance, our adaptability, our vigor and our youthfulness.

By achieving these goals, one can be said to have attained true "radiant health.

How to read Food Labels ?

Do you read the Nutrition Facts food labels when you shop? Since 1994, the FDA has required these labels to be placed on most food packaging. The Nutrition Facts food labels are easy to find on the back, side or bottom of the packaging.

The black and white Nutrition Facts labels may be formatted vertically or horizontally (the vertical version is more common). Small packages may have an abbreviated version of the label.

For example, this is a food label like one that you would see on a can of condensed chicken noodle soup. It looks like a lot of information to understand all at once, so let's look at the Nutrition Facts food label one section at a time.

How To Cure Bad Breath ?

In 80 to 90 % of cases, it's due to something in the mouth. Most often, it's nothing more serious than a dirty mouth.

, the nearly invisible film of bacteria that's constantly forming in your mouth, is often responsible for bad breath. Other dental culprits include cavities and gum disease.

Occasionally, bad breath is due to something in the lungs or gastrointestinal tract or to a systemic (bodywide) infection.

However, eating a garlicky meal is one of the most common causes.

The strong odors of foods such as garlic, onions and alcohol are carried through the bloodstream and exhaled by the lungs. Another big loser when it comes to bad breath is tobacco.

Electric cigarette

According to the World Health Orgnaisation (WHO) 20% of the worldwide population are smokers.
The legal environment in Europe is limiting the places where one can smoke in public.
More and more public places, like airports, railway stations, restaurants, and the workplace, have established or become no-smoking zones. Smokers often have to remain "outside".
Electric cigarette by
RUYAN products offer enjoyment without harmful substances.
Not only that, we bring smokers and non-smokers back together again -- wherever smoking has been forbidden -- no passive smoking for family members, and your immediate.
"Healthier" smoking is quite simple: Inside of each RUYAN product, you will find an electric vaporizer soaked in nicotine (four different nicotine strengths to choose from -- high, med, low, no).

Herpes Cure

One of the reasons that herpes infections are difficult to treat effectively is that the virus hides in the cells of the nervous system between outbreaks.

During these times, when the infection is latnet , the virus becomes effectively invisible to drugs and the immune system.

During active infections, some of the hidden virus "wakes up" to do its dirty work, but while any virus remains hidden it's impossible for treatment to lead to a full cure.
