Hypothermia - Fever Therapy for Cancer

A type of treatment in which body tissue is exposed to high temperatures to damage and kill cancer cells, or in the case of conventional therapy, to make cancer cells more sensitive to the effects of radiation and certain anticancer drugs.

Local hyperthermia treatment (heat applied to a very small area, such as a tumor) is a well-established cancer treatment method with a simple basic principle: If a rise in temperature to 106÷F can be obtained for one hour within a cancer tumor, the cancer cells will be destroyed.
The area may be heated externally with high-frequency waves aimed at a tumor from a device outside the body.

Ultrasound is more easily focused than other energy modalities, and can be applied to tumors located from the skin to 8 centimeters (approx. 3 in.) within the body.

This allows the treatment of tumors unreachable by other external modalities.

Whole-body heating is used to treat metastatic cancer that has spread throughout the body.
It can be accomplished using warm-water blankets, hot wax, inductive coils (like those in electric blankets), or thermal chambers (similar to large incubators).

The Secret of the Nice Skin

A new American research shows that this amount of tea would decrease the risk of developing skin cancer.

The team made a comparison between the amount of tea consumed by 1,400 patients with skin cancer and 700 subjects who had not developed the disease.

Tea chemicals had been found to induce an overall protective effect, but British cancer experts say that tea is the most effective against skin cancer.

The research made at Dartmouth Medical School, New Hampshire, surveyed two types of skin cancers: 770 subjects with basal cell carcinoma and 696 with squamous cell carcinoma, all diagnosed between 1993 and 1995 or 1997 and 2000.

Sunlight is the main factor triggering the disease in roughly 90% of cases.

In UK alone, 70,000 people are affected by cancer yearly.

This is fascinating !!!

Veronika lost her hearing as a child, but had it restored by a completely implantable device manufactured by Otologics.

I wonder if it is more of a commercial than an unbiased discussion of the improvement that this young woman experienced.

What is Herniated Disc ?

As a disc degenerates, it can herniate .

That means the inner core leaks out , which is known as a disc herniation or a herniated disc.

The weak spot in the outer core of the disc is directly under the spinal nerve root, so a herniation in this area puts direct pressure on the nerve, which in turn can cause a pain that radiates all the way down the patient’s leg to the foot.
